Doing Your Best

Do you recall that one of the principles of Scrum for Your Life is that frequent reviews of your accomplishments will reinforce your belief in yourself, build self-confidence and propel you to greater and greater accomplishments? Well that only works if you focus on your accomplishments. If during your Sprint Review, you focus on the goals you didn’t complete, the impact is the opposite of what is intended. And I can almost guarantee you that you’re accomplishing a lot every four weeks, despite COVID, family pressures or demands at work.

If you consistently feel that you are not accomplishing all that you should, it’s time to cut back on what you bring into each Sprint. Accept what your capacity is outside of your other obligations and remember that even small accomplishments add up over time.
