Getting Support

Scrum for Your Life is designed to be self-driven. You assume all of the roles of the Scrum Team, so you become your own master and servant. But not everyone is comfortable with this. Some people find it hard to get motivated, or difficult to fall into a routine, especially one that is new.

If you find yourself missing events like Daily Scrums or Sprint Planning, you may need someone to help and guide you. It can be a friend or family member, or even a professional coach. His or her main role is to hold you accountable, nudge you along and keep you on track. They do not need to know the entire process, although that is helpful. Just let them know that you have made a commitment to the process that involves your Daily Scrum and your Sprint Planning and Review every four weeks. Just knowing that someone is going to be checking up on you will help you with your regular follow through.
